countess-of-spenser:

“Empty threats, my dear.  We’re just here to have our share of the fun,” she replied.  But Alexandra had just grazed Katerina with the spell she had produced and she growled at the girl.  “That was my dueling arm, you wretch!” she shouted, red blood dripping from the white satin of her gown - the arm of it slashed where Alexandra had hit.  “You may have hit me, but I’m not down, not by a SECOND!”  She grunted, hurling her wand forward and shouted, “Incendio!”  Fire erupted from the end of her wand.  Instead of one big burst, her training of the spell made short bursts of flames trailing after their target.

Alex sneered at her. Fun, right. Cause seeing people die was fun. But her spell had hit, well grazed, Katerina’s arm. But at least she got a hit in. Then she chuckled. “Aw, poor baby. Do you need someone to kiss it and make it better?” She readied herself for an attacking, knowing that this woman was not down. Not by a long shot. They were as tough as she was and she knew it. She never underestimated an opponent. A blazing stream of fire was shot at her and she did her best to dodge them. “Protego!” she shouted, being able to protect herself from most of the blasts. Some of them hit her dress, which she doused with Aquamenti. Her dress was now charred, but that made little difference to her. Her life was on the line here. “Aquamenti!” she shouted, pointing her wand at Katerina. A huge jet of water blasted the Death Eater in the face. Good enough for a distraction. Then she shouted “Stupefy,” hoping to stun her target.
